Since the cool GPO designs of the 60's and 70's landline phones haven’t been anything to get excited about. The Columbo Two Phone, however is a design to get excited about, with its smooth, simple and friendly form.
The Columbo is named after a famed Italian designer who envisioned the world of Space 1999, a British sci-fi TV show airing in the mid 1970s. While Columbo got it wrong about how our world would appear in the late 90s, he made a brilliant mark on retro futurism as a whole. The Columbo phone designed by UK design studio ChauhanStudio is a tribute to that classic, pre-digital futurism of the 60s and 70s.
As well as being a great design, this phone is feature packed. Key Features include: - Large birght digital display - handsfree - 100 entry phonebook - 10 polyphonic ringtones - Eco mode for power saving - Caller ID - 12 mins recording time - Control Answer machine via handset - Instant message playback - Wall mountable
