Musical scales include: karen Carpenter, Chris De Burgh, The Boss, Las Vegas Elvis, Pavarotti.
Cake scales: Jaffa cake, victoria sponge, trifle, bonnoffi, sticky toffee pudding.
Resolution scales: shower nearly every day, cut down on bad language, eat more pies, drink less.
Hardly scientific instruments but we reckon a lot more fun than a set of boring standard scales.
Who really needs to know how much they weigh anyway?
