Now Open 7 Days A Week 'Til Christmas

Collection: Keeley Traae

We are delighted to host a collection of mini vases and planters by designer maker Keeley Traae.  Currently these are available in store only but we are hoping to be able to offer them here soon.

The forms are inspired by mid-century design, classic silhouettes and geometry found in nature, and each piece is informed by over 25 years experience designing within the ceramics industry.

"Each design begins with a pencil sketch followed by the creation of a digital 3D surface which is then printed in my studio. I use biodegradable PLA materials such as wood and stone-filled printing filaments, each creating a tactile and unique surface finish. PLA is short for Polylactic Acid, a thermoplastic polymer that is derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch, potato starch, or sugar cane.

Each time a shape finishes printing I find myself saying ‘hello beautiful’ as it is such a delight to me, hence the collection name.

The nature of the process and materials makes each piece truly unique with striations and marks adding individuality.

Due to the biodegradable nature of the materials, the objects are not always waterproof, but dried flowers look beautiful."
