Tributes to our maritime heritage these wooden models illustrate the some of the frequently surprisingly localised types of boats which have fished British waters for the last 100 years or so, together with some of the varied coasters, steamers and pleasure boats which worked European waters in the same period.
Skilfully hand-made by Edward Smith in his workshop in Fochabers, North East Scotland, this range began as a project to record the rapidly changing face of the Scottish fishing fleet in the late 20th century. Each boat is unique, varying in colour and style - reflective not just the hand-made nature of Edward's models but also the variations within the original fleets which they represent.
We also offer personalised versions of these boats which can be painted to order with a name and number.
