Collection: Marmor Paperie - Hand Marbled Journals

Independent London paper house Marmor Paperie was founded by Lucy McGrath in 2015 with the intention of breathing new life into the centuries-old art of paper marbling.  Designer-maker Lucy uses heritage craft methods that have barely changed for centuries.  A form of print-making where each sheet is completely unique, paper marbling had its heyday in the nineteenth century where it was commonly used for book endpapers.

Combining the fluid, classic patterns of this traditional craft, Lucy aims to inspire a digital age by experimenting with bold modern colours.
