Dandelion Paper Weight by Hafod Grange

Originally produced in 1968 as a challenge to encapsulate a dandelion clock in resin.

Produced in Wales in small batches the object is to create the unusual, bordering on the impossible. Clear polyester resin, containing a UV filter to stop fading, is used to embed the botanical specimens without destroying them, as molten glass would, and the globe shape allows the specimen to be seen in its beauty from all angles, creating a crystal clear effect. It’s a personal Snowhome favourite and one of our best selling items, truly an item to captivate and cherish.
